Cast Iron Bottle Opener - 3 designs

Simple, modern design bottle openers are hand-made by Kamasada - cast iron studio. These bottle openers with sophisticated, no-frill silhouettes somehow echo the kokeshi dolls of Japan, resulting in a playful yet refined design.

While maintaining traditional techniques, Kamasada Studio’s creator transforms heavy weight black iron into simplistic yet modern design products. Kamasada has become widely known for its contemporary craftsmanship both within and outside Japan.

Kamasada - The creator of these cast iron pots is Nobuho Miya, a world-class designer and master of Nambu ironware. He is also the third-generation head of Kamasada, a Nambu ironware manufacturer established during the Meiji Period (1868-1912). Located in the Northeastern part of Honshu, Kamasada has been preserving traditional manufacturing methods for more than a hundred years. The company continues to mine the potential of Nanbu ironware, breathing new life into traditional designs to create products that will surely be loved by generations to come.
