The Furoshiki ‘hand(le) is a stylish leather handle which, combined with a Furoshiki, provides a fashionable way to combine traditional Japanese art with the need for modern convenience. The Furoshiki hand(le) allows you to show off your favorite Furoshiki designs, as you use them for a purse or handbag.

These were inspired by wanting to combine beautiful Furoshiki’s with European clothing.

These hand made handles are made with leather from the Tochigi prefecture of Japan. They are all individually hand sewn in a small crafts shop in Hiroshima. The colors are tanned with plant based dyes and are available in several colors to match your furoshiki (wrapping cloth) or scarf.

The handle also come with matching brass snap pin. The pin is easily added or removed to a piece of wrapping cloth. The pins are magnetic closures that snap two sides of cloth together helping to keep all your belongings inside the bag.
